What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids refer to the active compounds that can be extracted from the cannabis/hemp plant. To date, there are at least 113 known cannabinoids, of which tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the most famous. While the benefits of THC cannot be ignored, at Green Revolution, our products are formulated with specific ratios of hemp-derived CBD and other minor cannabinoids without the inclusion of THC.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the more prevalent active compounds in the cannabis plant, but can be directly derived from the hemp plant. This cannabinoid was first studied as a possible treatment for epilepsy in 2013 and has increased in popularity for a multitude of purposes.
Condensed, super-cooled carbon dioxide extracts CBD from raw flowers to create a usable oil. When this oil is ingested, taken orally, or applied to the skin, CBD is absorbed through the blood-brain barrier to address your wellness needs without the high normally associated with THC.
At Green Revolution, we believe that the power of the hemp plant can be used to enrich all aspects of someone’s life. By combining this powerhouse cannabinoid with the specialized effects of minor cannabinoids, we’ve been able to pinpoint specific cannabinoid ratios and terpene profiles for reliable CBD experiences.
What is CBN?
Cannabinol (CBN) is the degradation compound produced when THC is exposed to heat and light.
In combination with CBD, CBN helps us to power our Dream, Relax and Recovery Experiences.
What is CBG?
Cannabigerol (CBG) is the least-researched among all of the famous cannabinoids but holds the potential to become the most important. CBG does almost everything that CBD and CBN can do, but is commonly associated with enhanced mood. The demand for CBG research is now so strong that cannabis breeders are using genetic modification and cross-breeding to grow plants that make up to 20% more CBG than natural cannabis.
Taken with CBD, CBG fuels our Social, Active and Focus Experiences.
Cannabinoids do not work alone. It takes a village to create plant-based synergy.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are aromatic compounds that are secreted by the same part of the cannabis plant that produces the cannabinoids we praise. Terpenes give each plant their classic smell and aroma, and, oftentimes, also influence the effect users experience with a specific CBD product. Over 100 terpenes have been identified, and the most common ones evoke thoughts of lime, berry, pepper, and pine. Matching the proper terpene to the right cannabinoid elevates the overall experience. Our CBD Experiences do exactly that.
The Entourage Effect
While most hemp processors rely on only CBD to create their products, Green Revolution CBD products are unique because they make the most of the Entourage Effect.
The Entourage Effect is a phenomenon that occurs when multiple cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are combined synergistically to bring about specific effects.
